Start with the guest you can serve well
Picture a specific stay: a family weekend, a couples’ retreat or a group reunion. Map the arrival, sleeping arrangements, cooking, outdoor time and departure. Build your listing around what the property can comfortably deliver. Check local permission, insurance and applicable hosting requirements before taking bookings.
Walk the property like a first-time visitor
Arrive after dark. Find the entrance, try the lock, connect to Wi-Fi and locate lights and emergency information. Write short instructions in the order a guest needs them. Photograph the actual sleeping spaces and amenities; describe shared areas, stairs, access limits and operating hours clearly.
Rehearse the turnover
Run a trial stay with someone who will give honest feedback. Time cleaning and inspection, restock supplies and test equipment. Keep a backup plan for a failed lock, unavailable cleaner or amenity outage. A beautiful space needs a repeatable service routine behind it.
